Fix a signature that becomes faint after processing
Find out whether compression, cleanup or the original photo caused the problem.
Compare with the original
First decide whether the ink was faint before editing. If it was, recapturing the signature in better light may be the best fix. If only the prepared copy is faint, examine the crop, output dimensions and cleanup settings.
Change one setting at a time
Turn off paper-background cleanup and process again. If that restores thin lines, the cleanup was too strong for this source. Next, check that the target dimensions are not much smaller than the portal requires. Modest contrast adjustment may help, but a heavy setting can merge nearby strokes.
Reconsider the byte limit
Use the real maximum rather than an unnecessarily tiny target. A signature allowed up to 100 KB does not need to be forced below 10 KB. Keep the format accepted by the destination.
Know when to stop
If dots, loops or pen strokes are missing, create a better source. AI enhancement can change details and is not an appropriate way to reconstruct your signature. Preview the downloaded attachment before submitting it.
