Check an application photo background before resizing

Applications can specify background colour, head position and framing in addition to a JPEG size limit. These rules are not interchangeable across portals. Use the current instructions for the application you are completing.
Understand the available cleanup
FormFile's light-paper cleanup is intended for document backgrounds. It is not an automatic portrait-background remover. Selecting it on a photograph should not be treated as a way to create a compliant studio-style background.
Prepare the right source
Start with a photo whose background already meets the requirement. Crop unwanted edges carefully, choose the required width and height, and then set the maximum KB. Use the preview to check that framing changes have not removed hair or the chin.
Do not confuse padding with compliance
Fit inside can add white margins, but those margins do not replace a coloured or cluttered background behind the face. If the source is unsuitable, take another photo or use an appropriate permitted editing process before resizing it here.
