File handling

Where your files go, and what processing changes.

Temporary processing

Files exist in this tab’s memory while you work. Clear the workspace or close the tab to release them. Refreshing clears your work. Downloaded copies remain on your device until you remove them.

Practical limits

Use up to 20 files, 30 MB per file and 100 MB total per tool session. Large images are limited to 48 megapixels on input and 24 megapixels on output. PDF rendering supports up to 40 selected pages to keep memory use manageable. Lower-memory phones may need smaller batches.

PDF compression and unlocked copies

Target-size compression and password-based reconstruction turn PDF pages into images. Searchable text, links, form fields and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep the original, especially for digitally signed certificates.

Increasing file size

For JPEG and PDF, minimum-size padding adds non-visual data; it does not improve image quality. PNG and WebP minimum sizes may not be met. The actual output status is always shown.
