Resize a photo without stretching the face
Choose between proportional resizing, white margins and cropping.
Recognize an aspect-ratio mismatch
A square image and a tall portrait have different width-to-height proportions. Forcing both into the same rectangle can make a face look too wide or too thin. FormFile offers fit and crop choices so that you can decide how to handle the difference.
Keep the full picture
Enter only one dimension to keep the original proportions. If you must enter both dimensions, choose Fit inside to preserve the full image and fill unused space with white. Check whether the receiving portal allows those margins.
Fill the required rectangle
Choose Fill & crop edges when the image must occupy the full target area. This preserves proportions but removes part of the edges. Preview the result to make sure hair, chin and shoulders remain within the required framing.
Choose before compressing
Set framing and dimensions first, then apply the file-size ceiling in the same run. If an important feature has been cropped out, return to the original and change the fit mode; increasing output size will not bring it back.
