Application uploads
Why an upload can fail even when the KB size is correct
Check format, dimensions and document rules after a size-only validation passes.
Size is only one requirement
A 40 KB file can still fail a 50 KB upload field if it has the wrong format or dimensions. The portal may also check filename characters, document content or whether the field expects a single page.
Read the exact error
Start with the message shown by the application. Compare its accepted file types with the actual downloaded output, not just the filename. Confirm the image width and height and whether the limit is a maximum or a minimum-to-maximum range.
Check the right copy
Make sure you selected the newly prepared file rather than the original or an older download. Similar names with numbered suffixes can be confusing. Open the file from the download folder and verify it before trying again.
Know what FormFile verifies
Its status checks the requirements you entered. It cannot validate every receiving portal's rules or submit the application on your behalf. If all documented requirements match, contact the portal's support with the error description rather than further degrading the file.
