Convert a WebP image for an application upload
Make a JPEG or PNG copy when a portal does not accept WebP.
Why a saved web image may fail
An image downloaded from a website can be WebP even if it looks like an ordinary photograph. Some upload forms accept only a short list of formats. Check the saved file's extension and the portal's allowed types before editing it.
Create a compatible copy
Choose the WebP in Convert image format. Select JPEG for an opaque photo when accepted, or PNG when the destination requires it. Enter any required dimensions and byte ceiling, process once, and download the result with its new extension.
Do not assume conversion improves quality
A small web image may already have been compressed or resized. Converting it cannot restore the original camera detail. For an identity photo or certificate, use the original source whenever possible rather than an image copied from a page.
Verify the whole requirement
Inspect the image and check the output size. A supported format alone does not satisfy a portal's rules for framing, recency or pixel dimensions. If the photo has the wrong content, obtain a suitable original instead of adjusting only the format.
