Merge PDF documents in a deliberate reading order

Combine complete PDF files before applying any final upload-size limit.

Plan the combined document

Decide which source PDF should come first. For example, an application might ask for a certificate followed by its supporting pages. Use the receiving instructions rather than alphabetical filenames to determine the order.

Merge the sources

Open Merge PDFs, choose the documents and reorder the file list. This tool copies pages into one output. Check the preview and page count after processing; a source containing a cover sheet contributes that sheet as well.

Handle size separately

The combined PDF may exceed the upload limit even when each original file fits. Use PDF target size only if needed, remembering that its compression rebuilds pages as images and changes features such as searchable text and digital signatures.

Protect special documents

A merged result should not be assumed to preserve signature validity, bookmarks or interactive form behaviour. Keep originals and verify any features you depend on. For password-protected sources, obtain an authorized usable copy before merging; never upload passwords as part of a support request.
