Save a selected PDF page as a JPG image
Extract the page you need without converting an entire document.
Choose the right page number
A PDF viewer's page position can differ from the page number printed on the document. FormFile's page selector uses the position in the PDF: 1 is the first page. Count from the beginning when choosing a page.
Convert the selection
Open PDF to images, choose the PDF and enter the page number. Select JPEG output and a rendering resolution. Add the required byte ceiling if the image will go into an upload field. Process and inspect the created image.
Balance detail and size
A higher rendering resolution creates more pixels and can increase the file size. Choose enough detail to read the content, then check the final compression result. A very small target may make tiny text unsuitable even when the file technically fits.
Preserve the original
The image copy does not retain searchable PDF text, links, form fields or digital-signature validation. Keep the source PDF for those purposes. Use the JPG only where the receiving workflow specifically needs an image.
