When to avoid AI enhancement on application files
Keep identity photos, signatures and certificates faithful to their originals.
Enhancement can alter details
AI enlargement estimates extra image detail. It can make edges look clearer, but the estimated detail is not proof of what the original contained. This matters when a document is used to establish identity or verify information.
Files that need special care
Do not use AI to reconstruct a signature, change a certificate's text or repair a person's identifying features. For an application photo, check whether the receiving institution permits enhancement at all. A size-compliant image can still violate its content rules.
Start with ordinary adjustments
Try a better original, careful crop or modest brightness and contrast before considering AI. Review both the original and the result at a useful zoom. Preserve all names, dates, numbers and facial features.
Use the optional tool selectively
FormFile's 2× AI mode accepts images up to 800 × 800 pixels and runs locally after the model loads. It is better explored with non-critical images where you can evaluate the result freely. Keep the original and never present generated detail as recovered evidence.
